Exposition text is a piece of text that present one side of an issue. The purpose of exposition text is to persuade the reader or listener by presenting one side of an argument. Exposition text can be the form of advertisement, spoken argument, and editorials.There are two types of exposition text, which are analytical and hortatory.

The language features for exposition text are simple present tense, thinking verbs, and internal conjunctions. Meanwhile the text structure are thesis, arguments, and reiteration.
