PROCEDURE TEXT : HOW TO USE
Hello everyone! It is nice to meet you all again in this blog. As i told you on my previous blog, the purpose of procedure text is to tell the reader how to do something. Also, i already explain to you about Imperative, Must and Mustn't, Sentence connectors, and Adverbs.
Today, i want to explain to you about How To Use on a procedure text. I will also explain what are the steps to make a procedure text by yourself.
If you want to make a procedure text, first of all you will have to try out the steps that are in the procedure text that you will publish, just to make sure that everything is right.
Second of all, to make it easier, you have to make a writing organizer. Here is the structure of a writing organizer.
1. Purpose (tells what will be made or done).
May include a brief description of the product.
2. Requirements (list of what is needed).
List may include ingredients, utensils, tools, and materials.
3. Steps (in order of what needs to be done, include diagrams or pictures if needed).
Steps usually starts with an action verb.
Steps are numbered in order.
Steps clearly explain what or how it needs to be done.
Also, don't forget to use imperative sentence, Must and Mustn't, Sentence connectors, and Adverbs.
EXAMPLE
The word "Glue Gun" may sounds dangerous for us, but it is not an actual gun to shot a bullet. Instead it can help us in making a handicraft. In the process the heat from the gun stick and turn it into liquid form that we can use to stick anything including the parts of our handicraft. Follow these following steps if you want to use a Glue Gun =
1. Check and clean the glue gun from any old glue clogging in the nozzle.
2. Put the glue stick into the gun nozzle.
3. Insert the plug into the electricy socket.
4. Prepare a sheet of paper and put the glue gun on it.
5. Wait until the gun get warmer.
6. Squeeze the trigger gently to check if the glue stick has canged into liquid form.
7. Finally, you can apply it on any surface that you want to stick by using this glue gun.
