EXPOSITION TEXT : READING
Hello everyone! My name is Salma, and welcome or welcome back to my blog. How are you all? I hope you all are doing okay and healthy in this pandemic. Today, i am going to explain about analytical expostion text.
Analytical exposition text is an argumentative text presenting the writer's opinion, which are backed by logical supporting ideas. People write this type of text to persuade and convince the reader that their idea is important by developing arguments to support it.
Reading Analytical Exposition Text Exercise
- Before reading the text, make sure about your intention reading the text. Is it to get more information, or other intention. Focus on that intention
- Do skimming (fast reading while focusing on the important parts of the text).
- Use background knowledge or your own knowledge about the topic of the text.
- Identify words that you don't know with a highlighter.
- Make a conclusion, does the text that you read important or relevant and helpful for your intention.
- Make a list of questions that you need answer from the text.
- Define the keyword from each questions.
- Do scanning (fast reading while focusing on the keyword from your questions).
- Make a summary of the important informations that you get from the text.
- You can make a mind map for the summary.
